Enjoy the splendour of the third largest Canyon in the world. Unquestionably being the largest ‘green canyon’ due to its lush Subtropical foliage. An interpretation tour by a tour guide will take you to the you to the rare living Kadishi Tufa waterfall and the Three Rondawels. An abundance of wildlife will keep you distracted while learning more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon.
The Blyde River canyon supports large diversity of life, including numerous fish and antelope species as well as Hippos and Crocodiles, primate species and a diversity of birdlife such as the African Fish Eagle, African Finfoot and much more.
Possibly the best view in the whole of the Blyde River Canyon is of the “Three Rondavels”, huge, round rocks, thought to be reminiscent of the houses or huts of the indigenous people, known as rondavels. The Canyon is famous for the Kadishi Tufa waterfall. At 200m (around 660 feet) in height it is the second tallest Tufa waterfall on earth. In the case of the Kadishi Tufa fall, the formation that has been produced strikingly resembles a face which is crying profusely, and is thus sometimes known as the weeping face of nature.

Excellent and fun tour guide. Beautiful scenery and perfect 90 minutes on the Blyderivierdam. Thank you - Chrisna
Thanks goes to Simeon and his captain - his eagle eyes spotted crocodiles, hippos, lizards, and a variety of birds and he made the trip super enjoyable. His knowledge of the area made the already spectacular scenery extra special. We had a great time and will be back. - Bettina
The Blyde River Canyon is one of those places that takes your breath away and reminds you once again of the wonder of God's creation. Every mountain, cliff, river, and waterfall bears witness to His greatness, wisdom, and perfection. It is impossible to stand here without feeling deeply grateful for the incredible world He has entrusted to us. We are truly thankful that we were able to spend this short holiday here. For a few days, we enjoyed the peace, the fresh air, and the indescribable beauty of nature, away from the busyness of everyday life. This time reminded us to slow down, appreciate the little things, and feel closer to God's creation---and, through it, closer to Him. May we never stop admiring the beauty of His handiwork and remain grateful for the privilege of experiencing such extraordinary places. - Madeleine
Great relaxing trip. Guides are very well informed. Absulute must do. - Leon
We had a fantastic cruising. The guide boy in the boat was lovely, funny, interactive and informative. The only way to see the canyon from the bottom is from the boat. Majestic mountains and the forestry are breathtakingly beautiful. - Manganyi
